P.S. 54 serves students from 3K through Grade 5. There are approximately four classes per grade level. In each grade, one to two classes are Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classrooms.

ICT classrooms are designed to support both general education students and students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). These classrooms are taught by both a general education teacher and a special education teacher and provide instruction in an inclusive setting.

In addition to ICT classes, P.S. 54 has one 12:1 self-contained class at each grade level from Kindergarten through Grade 5.

If your child was born in 2023 and lives in New York City, they may attend 3-K in the fall of 2026.

Families apply for 3-K through MySchools. If a family misses the application deadline, they can still apply by adding their child to program waitlists through MySchools.

3-K Admissions for the 2026–2027 School Year

• Wednesday, January 14, 2026: 3-K applications open
• Friday, February 27, 2026: 3-K applications close
• Tuesday, May 19, 2026: 3-K offer release
